Guinea Pigs:
Our guinea pig
adoption fee is $25 for one and $40 for a pair. If the pig
has already been neutered or spayed, add $15. This helps defray
our surgery costs.
Rats:
You can adopt a rat for $10
for one and $15 for a pair. If the rat has already been spayed
or neutered, we will simply charge you for our costs: $25
for a male, and $40 for a female. Since this fee only covers
our surgical costs, please consider making an extra donation. The future rats we save, feed and house will thank
you!
Hamsters:
The hamster adoption fee is
$10 for one and $15 for two (although some species of hamsters should always be housed separately). All of our hamsters live
in foster homes and are screened for temperament before going
out for adoption. Handled correctly, they should not bite.
If you buy a hamster from the pet store there is a good
chance that you will bring home a biter, or worse, a pregnant
hamster!
Mice:
Our adoption fee for mice is
$10 for one, and $5 for each additional mouse. Our adoptable
mice have not bitten and are 100% *not* pregnant!
Rabbits:
All of our rabbits have been
spayed or neutered. The adoption fee is $40 for one and $75
for a pair.
Chinchillas:
We often have chinchillas available for adoption.
Chinchillas have very specific housing, climate and diet and requirements
and live 16 - 20 years. Please do your research before thinking
about bringing a chinchilla into your life. If you are still
interested in adopting a chinchilla after doing your research,
please contact us to see who is available. Our adoption fee
for chinchillas is $75 for one and $125 for two.
